why i believe there is a GOD________
Well, where should I start? Species. Look at all the animals. Am I to believe that hundreds of thousands of species were formed over millions of years by accident and yet we need food? I mean if we were formed out of nothing to interact perfectly with our environment why would we need to eat? Shouldn't we just adapt to the point where we don't have to eat anything? monkey

And if we evolved from fish and monkeys, why are there still fish and monkeys?

Of course that's not really a good arguement. How about this one: Genders. I mean how did that happen by accident? Out of the millions of species on the planet the majority have two seperate genders for procreation. How did that happen? I mean perhaps it could happen in one species or another, but in thousands or even millions of different types of creatures? Who chose what species would not procreate through intercourse?

I'm just saying it seems very unlikely to me that trees and humans and animals and sea-dwelling creatures and freshwater fish and saltwater fish and birds and bees and wasps and cats and monkeys were all created by accident octopus and yet an octopus and a human have the same type of eyes.

According to evolution would an octopus not have broken away from the human evolutionary chain long before eyes evolved? I can see adaptation to one's environment, but not evolution. At least not without some Creator.

food for THOUGHT:
There is this little country in just about the middle of the world. It was re-created during the last century and rose up in a harsh environment where none of its surrounding countries desired to tollerate its existance.

Since the day of its declaration as an independent state in 1948 it saw almost constant war until the 1970s. In a number of the wars this small country with a handfull of people defeated, not one country with a couple of million soldiers, not two countries, but up to five countries attacking on all sides. A few thousand people fought and defeated a few million people from multiple countries bordering its land.

Not only did these few people defeat their agressors, however. This little country with a handfull of people succeeded in pushing their aggressors back and gaining land in almost every war they fought.

You may not see GOD's hand in this, but there is something special about the Jewish people. Somehow they have been preserved throughout history. Against impossibe odds these brave G-D-fearing men and women have been victorious in battle after battle and even when they were not a group has always remained to carry on the history, culture and language.

why i talk to GOD:
doctor Because I'm just a human and He is GOD. He knows what's up and I don't. He knows when I'll die and where I'll be at this time tomorrow. He knows whether or not I'll ever get married and who I'll get married to and how many kids I'll have. Everything I know now and will ever know is nothing compared to everything GOD knows.

I once heard it said, "Isn't it only logical to go into the future with someone who's already been there?"

what is HASHEM?
HaShem is Hebrew for "The Name" referring to The Name of the one true GOD.
